This aluminum boat has been in storage for a number of years. It was owned by my father for many years and then given to me when he could no longer use it. I have never used it since it was given to me although I did go fishing in it and water tubing many times when I was young.
It was running good when it went into storage. The battery looks like new but will not take a charge. Probably too many years have gone by since it was used. The battery has been on charge for a couple of weeks with no improvement at all. With a charger on the battery set to "start", giving it extra power, the starter will engage and crank very slowly. We can't get it started. Needs someone mechanically inclined
The inside of the boat was converted from a "runabout" to a fishing boat by my dad. The floor of the boat is a pressure treated plywood platform covered with outdoor carpeting and it is nice to have a flat floor to walk around on when you are fishing. The seats are removable for easy cleaning. There is a hand-cranked anchor pulley setup that you can drop and raise easily. The motor always ran well. A gas tank comes with the boat but there is no gas in it. You have to mix the gas with oil.
The brown paint is flaking off the bow cover directly in front of the steering wheel. This should be easy to scrape off and repaint.
The trailer lights all worked when we took it out of storage. I hate to get rid of this boat but I just don't have the space to keep it. Somebody will have a lot of fun with this boat.
